Before we crossed Connor's Pass, a narrow one-lane road over the mountains into Dingle, we stopped to rest. We met Damien Ryan, a young geography teacher from Limerick. He was riding a BMW F650CS and he gave us lots of good advice on riding in the area. Damien is about to take off by himself on an on a 6-week trip from Ireland to Ghana, Africa. This will be the first time he's travelled outside Ireland! He's going to do the trip with maps not a GPS since his students wouldn't expect anything less! We wish him good luck.
The pass is quite challenging since vehicles coming down have priority and those going up must find a wider part to squeeze over against the rock. It was a relief to reach the top. As you can see the views were great.
